Win for NZX-listed IT firm
By Computerworld staff | Auckland | Friday, 31 October, 2008
NZX-listed board portal provider Diligent Board Member Services has signed Burger King in the US as a customer.
Diligent listed on the NZX in December 2007 but is based in the US. Its founder, Brian Henry, is a New Zealander and the company’s software division is based in Christchurch.
The company’s main product, Diligent Boardbooks, allows documents for board meetings to be presented via PCs or laptops using a web browser.
In a statement announcing the signing of Burger King, Diligent CEO Alex Sodi is quoted as saying “Burger King is a global brand and its decision to use our Boardbooks technology is yet another example of the strength and quality of our product.”
Sodi also says “this is a great sign that even during this global economic turmoil, new companies are still pursuing board portals.”
