Australia’s CSG has acquired Onesource Group New Zealand, which includes Konica Minolta Business Solutions New Zealand and Leasing Solutions.
ASX-listed CSG specialises in document solutions, and is headquartered in the Northern Territory.
The New Zealand businesses will continue to operate as independent operating companies within the CSG group.
Konica Minolta Business Technologies in Japan will retain its 10 percent shareholding in the New Zealand business – part of a long term joint venture relationship for distribution and support of Konica Minolta products and services in New Zealand. Under the partnership, the New Zealand business can also access Konica Minolta’s research and development, and manufacturing resources in Japan.
Onesource underwent a management buyout, led by chief executive Evan Johnson, in 2005.
Johnson says Konica Minolta and Leasing Solutions have come through the recession “in good shape”, producing strong returns and growing.
He will retain his roleas managing director of the New Zealand businesses and will join the CSG Australasian steering committee, which develops the CSG business on both sides of the Tasman.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our business as we combine our leadership position in New Zealand alongside a highly skilled team in Australia,” he says.
