Tauranga-based Radford Software, a developer of supply chain software, is partnering with infrastructure and mobile software company Sybase to promote radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions.
Radford will market Sybase's RFID Anywhere, alongside its existing range of dynamic inventory, logistics, supply chain management and grower payment systems.
The partnership with Sybase is Radford's first foray into RFID, says Phil Radford, managing director of Radford Software.
“Our decision to move into RFID is very much demand-driven, with customers demonstrating strong interest in the technology," he says.
“Right now, RFID is very much in its infancy in the New Zealand post-harvest industry. We see a great deal of potential however, and so do our customers," says Radford.
