Mavim used by 80% of government departments in the Netherlands

Wellington-based business process consultancy FINNZ has signed a partnership deal with Dutch company Mavim, which provides high-end mapping of processes.

Mavim, which has a subsidiary in Tauranga, is used by 80% of government departments in the Netherlands.

FINNZ was formed in 2003 to provide consulting services, software development and data processing for the seafood industry. It is owned by the Seafood Industry Council and, among its other roles, enables statutory registry services for the industry through FishServe.

Its client base has broadened considerably, to include education, government and the banking sectors. Customers include Kiwibank and Biosecurity New Zealand. It also has the Falkland Islands government as a customer.

“We’ve developed our own intellectual property in the area of business process documentation and the method of eliciting these processes,” says account executive Mark Murphy. “Our aim is to provide business benefit by providing software which gives surety of data capture and releases quality business information.”

There are synergies with Mavim, which recently released version 6 of Mavim Rules. Both companies are Microsoft certified partners. FINNZ specialises in .Net applications backed by SQL databases; Mavim software integrates with Word and Visio.

Mavim New Zealand managing director Robin van der Breggen says the company has, to date, sold more than 250,000 licences to a wide range of sectors internationally. Whakatane District Council was one of its first New Zealand customers.

FINNZ will provide New Zealand’s only Mavim competency centre.
