By Computerworld staff | Auckland | Friday, 19 January, 2007
Canning & Associates, owners and operators of the WIZwireless broadband service, is acquiring the wireless bearer service of Orcon Wairarapa (formerly WiseNet). The purchase includes all physical infrastructure as well as customer accounts.
WIZwireless is the Wairarapa’s specialist wireless provider.
Orcon Wairarapa will continue to operate, concentrating on its core competencies, providing fixed line broadband, dial-up and satellite connections, as well as a full range of internet services.
There will be no disruption to either service as the transfer will be seamless, Canning & Associates managing director Bridget Canning says.
