Donald Clark to take up post in Silicon Valley

Former REANNZ CEO Donald Clark has joined Google as strategic negotiator – peering and content (APAC).
He will be based at Google’s headquarters in Silicon Valley, until he relocates later in the year, he will work from Wellington.
Clark was the founding CEO of REANNZ, the operator of the KAREN education network. He was with the organisation for five years. When he resigned in 2011 to spend more time with his family, he established a company called 1through8, a reference to the layers in the networking stack. He was a consultant to the IPv6 Taskforce.
Before joining REANNZ, Clark was a policy advisor to the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. Earlier, he was a sector manager at Treasury.
He is a councilor at Internet NZ.
